2000 (8) TMI 1093 - HC - VAT and Sales Tax

The Punjab and Haryana High Court quashed a notification amending the lump sum tax for brick kiln owners retrospectively. The court directed that the higher tax rates should not be applied for the period between October 1, 1998, and March 31, 1999. The court also stated that similar orders should apply to others to avoid multiple petitions.
