Instructions – ICEGATE being shut down for filing of Bills of Entry on 28.02.2015 untill ICES updated with the Budget related changes. - Customs - 12/2015

No. S/1-29/2009 EDI Dated: 27/02/2015 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 12/2015 Sub: Union Budget 2015-2016 Instructions reg. It is being brought to the notice of the Trade, Industry and CHA association that the Union Budget 2015-2016 is expected to be presented in the Parliament on 28 th February, 2014, therefore, the filing of EDI Bills of Entry will be stopped in Indian Customs EDI System (ICES) 1.5, at 17:00 hrs. on 28 th February, 2015. In view of the above, no Bills of Entry should be submitted to the ICES 1.5, after 5.00 PM on 28.02.2015. Submission of Bills of Entry at Service Centre /through ICEGATE would remain closed until ICES 1.5 is updated with the Budget related changes. All other functions of ICES 1.5 would continue as usual. To avoid inconvenience, due to the Budget related changes in the notification and other directories, all stake holders are requested to expedite the clearance and take Out-of-Charge of their Bills of Entry pending in the queue before the Directory changes are enabled in the ICES 1.5. Further, Section 48 permissions in ICES, from 5.00 PM onwards on 28.02.2015, will not be allowed by any Dy./Asstt. Commissioners of NCH, Mumbai. The information of ICEGATE being shut down for filing of Bills of Entry on 28.02.2015 from 17.00 hrs., onwards would be flashed on the website at http://www.icegate.gov.in ., however all other services at ICEGATE will continue as usual. Further, suitable Information TICKERS will be made available on CITRIX as well as CBEC and ICEGATE websites regarding the timing of starting of the regular filing of BEs and Section 48 approvals.
