Cus/04/2015 Subject: Authorization of Additional Public Sector Banks for Collection of Customs Duty through e-payment-reg. Attention of the Trade in invited to F.No.Coord/2(12)e-PAO(Customs)/2014-15, dated 2015 has been issued by the Office of Pr. Chief Controller of Accounts, Central Board of Excise Customs, New Delhi. 2. In Addition to existing 17 Public Sector Banks, 9 more PSBs have authorized for collection of Customs Duty through e-payment mode. Vijaya Bank and State Bank of Mysore are scheduled to start e-collection with effect from 1 st February, 2015 the nominated banks will comply with the following procedure: 3. The banks branches (e-FPB) of nominated banks will act as the Receiving and Focal Point Branch for collection of e-receipt of Customs duties from all existing EDI locations. These new (e-FPB) based in Delhi will send e-payment scrolls/challans of customs EDI collection to E-PAO, Customs, New Delhi through electronics strings on daily basis by e-mail as per details enclosed at Annexure-I. Banks will effect settlement of funds with RBI, CAS Nagpur through their Link Cell at Nagpur. 4. In Addition to data in electronic strings as detailed in EASeR-C format, the e-FBPs will also furnish physical copy scrolls and challan to the e-PAO, Customs, New Delhi as an interim arrangement. 5. The nominated banks will comply with all the instruction contained in the revised memorandum of Instruction for collection of Central Excise, Customs and other duties and payment of Refunds, Rebate and Drawback by the branches of banks issued by the Reserve Banks of India. They shall also comply with all guidelines and instruction issued by the RBI form time to time regarding collection and remittance of funds to RBI, CAS Nagpur within the prescribed time limits, payment of interest on delayed remittance etc. 6. The bank shall mention BSR Code of e-FPB on each challan and e-PAO Code (000209) on all e-scrolls. 7. All the Trade Associations and Chamber of Commerce and industries are requested to bring the same to the notice of all their Members/Constituents, for their information and further necessary action.
