Review the performance of the Disposal Section of JNCH - expired bond and seized confiscated goods - Customs - STANDING ORDER NO. 14/2015Extract OFFICE OF THE PRINCIPAL COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS (GENERAL), DISPOSAL SECTION, JAWAHARLAL NEHRU CUSTOM HOUSE, NHAVA SHEVA, URAN, DIST RAIGAD F No. S/JNCH-D-78/ 2014 Disp (A) Date :-24 .04.2015 STANDING ORDER NO. 14/2015 1. During the meeting held on 16.04.2015 to review the performance of the Disposal Section of JNCH, the Chief Commissioner of Customs, Zone-II, Mumbai had directed to device a mechanism to monitor cases of time expired bond and seized confiscated goods which are ripe for disposal. 2. In this regard the following instructions are issued for strict compliance by the concerned Sections/Officers: i) The concerned AC/DC of Groups will consolidate a list of all cases of seized/ confiscated goods which were ripe for disposal during the financial year 2014-15 and submit the same to the Disposal Section for necessary action. Thereafter the groups will submit a monthly statement effective from April-2015 indicating the details of cases of seized/ confiscated goods which become ripe for disposal during the month. The report should be received in Disposal Section by the 10th of every month. ii) The AC/DC of Bond Section will consolidate a list of all cases of Bonded Goods which were ripe for disposal during the financial year 2014-15 and submit the same to the Disposal Section for necessary action. Thereafter the Bond Section will submit a monthly statement effective from April-2015 indicating the details of cases of bonded goods which become ripe for disposal during the month. The report should be received in Disposal Section by the 5th of every month. iii) All Orders-in-Original passed by the adjudicating authorities where goods are ordered to be confiscated, should be marked to the concerned CFSs for effective monitoring of long standing containers. iv) All Orders-in-Original passed by the adjudicating authorities where goods are ordered to be confiscated, should be marked to the Disposal Section for effective monitoring of long standing containers. v) All seizing/investigating agencies while issuing letters / orders to the CFSs to place container on hold, should invariably mark a copy to the Disposal Section, JNCH for effective monitoring of long standing containers.
