Implementation of e-collection of light house-dues online - Customs - F. No. 450/04/2015-Cus. (IV)

Instruction F. No. 450/04/2015-Cus. (IV) Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Central Board of Excise Customs New Delhi, dated 22-5-2015 Subject : Implementation of e-collection of light house-dues online - Regarding. I am directed to enclose letter No. B AL/Lightdues collection/2014-15 dated 13-5-2015 of Ministry of Shipping on the above subject. 2. Ministry of Shipping has stated that the process of new electronic system for collection of light house-dues online is being finalised and an online payment of light dues can be made from Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships (DGLL) website www.dgll.nic.in or from the website of Syndicate Bank www.syndicatebank.in. The proper officers from the Customs will be issued user ID and password for verification of the receipt/acknowledgement produced by the shipper/agent for online payment of light dues from website of Syndicate Bank. In addition, an e-mail shall be sent to respective Customs Houses registered on icegate (SMTP). 2.1 Ministry of Shipping has also stated that information regarding implementation of the online collection system has already been forwarded through e-mail on their icegate e-mail ID to the Customs officers at ports. 3. Chief Commissioners of Customs/Customs (Preventive)/Customs and Central Excise are requested to sensitise staff working under their jurisdiction and to issue suitable Public Notice for the information of the Trade and Shipping Agents/Liners about implementation of new system. A copy of draft notification, SOP containing detailed procedure to be followed for implementation of the electronic system is also enclosed for ready reference.
