Reg. Attention of all Importers, CHAs and trade is invited to the issue of Elimination of hard copy of Delivery orders by MIAL. MIAL as a part of E-Freight initiative and on-line Delivery order messaging system at ACC, Mumbai is contemplating elimination of hard copy of delivery orders. In this regard a Committee was constituted to study if trade would face any difficulty if the same is implemented by MIAL The committee has discussed the issue with concerned stakeholders and the proposed move has been acknowledged by stakeholders. It is expected that elimination of manual delivery order and implementation of new online delivery order system would enable Airlines to issue Delivery order as soon as they get segregation report from MIAL and the paperless whole delivery system will enhance security as well as transparency in the clearance process. Accordingly, as a facilitation measure for the trade, it has been decided that all Importers, CHAs and trade shall avail the online delivery order transaction facility. Specific categories of Imports i.e One time Importer, human remains and direct delivery can avail the hard copy delivery order facility if desired. Difficulty if any in implementation may please be brought to the notice of undersigned. All stake holders are requested to offer their comments on the above by 27.04.2015 so that the desirable suggestions can be included.
