Closure of submission of Bills of Entry in ICES and stopping of Section 48 approvals on account of Union Budget, 2016-17-reg. - Customs - 36/2015-16

Budget 2016-17 is going to be presented in Parliament on 29th February 2015. As in previous years, after Budget is presented, updation of ICES Directories would be done by Directorate of Systems, New Delhi. For updation of budgetary changes in the ICES Directories, filing of Bills of Entry will be stopped in ICES at 17:00 hrs on February 2016 and Section 48 approvals will be stopped at 17:00 hrs on 29th February 2016. However, the System will be available for other functions in ICES. 2. Once the Budget related changes are updated, the System will be made available for filing WES and suitable information TICKERS will be made available on CITRIX as well as CBEC and ICEGATE websites regarding the timing for starting of the regular filing of Bills of Entry and Section 48 approvals. 3. During the Budget Activity, filing of Shipping Bills and processing will continue as usual without any stoppage. If any changes are announced in Export Duty and Export Cess during the Budget, the concerned Officers/Staff at ACC will keep record of the relevant Shipping Bills filed on or after 1st March 2016 till the directory changes are made online, and the export duty/cess will be collected manually thereon. Similarly, processing of B/Es filed before 17:00 hrs on February 2016 will also continue as usual. This issue with the approval of Commissioner of Customs. (Dr. Satish Dhavale) Addl.
