BUILDINGS, QUEEN'S ROAD, BANGALORE - 560001 C.No. VIII/48/225/2010 CUS Tech Date: 20.01.2012 PUBLIC NOTICE 08/2012 Sub:-List of Banks authorised for collection of Customs duty by E-Payment Of Customs Duties under the Indian Customs EDI system - (ICES) -reg Attention of the trade is invited to th1S office Public Notice No. 94/2010 dated 24.12.2010 where in detailed guidelines were issued regarding E-payment of Customs Duties under the Indian Customs EDI system - (ICES) at Air Cargo Complex and Inland Container Depot, Bangalore were issued. 2. This service of e-payment through net banking is being offered by the State Bank of India and Panjab National Bank at Bangalore. With effect from 16.01.2012 the following banks have been authorised to collect the customs duty through E - payment. 1. State Bank of India 10. Union Bank of India 2. State Bank of Hyderabad 11. Bank of Maharashtra 3. State Bank of Bikaner Jai ur 12. Co oration Bank 4. State Bank of Travancore 13. IDBI Bank 5. Punjab National Bank 14. Bank of Baroda 6. Bank of India 15. Canara Bank 7. Indian Bank 16. Indian Overseas Bank 8. UCO Bank 17. Central Bank of India 9. United Bank of India 3. The users can now avail facility of E-payment through ICEGATE for all customs Locations from any of these banks. The trade is hereby informed that the E-payment facility is available without any extra cost. It will reduce the transaction cost of the importers and expedite the time taken for Customs Clearance. This facility of E-payment is very soon going to be made mandatory for payment of Customs Duty. 4. Therefore, all importers/exporters and all other members of Trade are requested to switch over to E-payment facility to take benefit of the said facility immediately. (B.BHATTACHARYA) COMMISSIONER
