OFFICE OF THE PRINCIPAL COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS (GENERAL) CHS SECTION, NEW CUSTOM HOUSE BALLARD ESTATE, MUMBAI-I F No: S/43-62/2016-17 CHS Date 10.02.2017 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 19/2017 Sub:- Installation and commissioning of Customs RAPISCAN 620 DV facility for checkpoint screening system at New Custom House. Attention of all general public and stake holders is invited to the commissioning of checkpoint screening facility recently installed at Gate No. 2, at NCH, Ballard Estate, Mumbai. 2. The said machine has been installed to ensure the security of the building and its occupants. At Present, officers/general public/stake holders enter New Custom House and Annexe Building from Gate No. 1, 2 and 5. It has been decided that the entry of general public and stake holders would be restricted to gate no. 2 of the New Custom House. The entry through the Gate No. 5 i.e. at the Annexe Building is strictly restricted for officials/staff only provided they carry no bags and on production of ID cards issued by Custom House. 3. Therefore, all stake holders, general public are requested to enter Custom House premises from the main entrance of the old building only and the entry will be regulated through a metal detector and screening of hand baggage through the RAPISCAN 620 DV screening machine. 4. Any difficulty encountered in the course of the implementation of this public notice must be immediately brought to the notice of the Additional Commissioner of Customs/Prev. (General) in charge of CHS Section. 5. The effective date of commencement of checkpoint screening system will be 15.02.2017. Sd/- (B.
