Public Notice. 227 /2017 Subject: Making E-payment of Customs Duty Mandatory -reg. ************** Kind attention of the Importers / Customs Broker is drawn to the Public Notice 61/2011 dated 04.08.2011, Wherein the making e-Payment of Customs duty mandatory and Public Notice 29/2012 dated 07.02.2012, informing the extension of E-payment facility with 17 Scheduled Bank, and Public Notice 34/2012 dated 20.02.2012 informing the implementation of E-Payment of Customs duty. 2. In this regard, it is informed that vide Notification 080 / 2017 - Customs (NT) dated 17.08.2017 following classes of Importers have been specified Who shall pay Customs duty electronically, namely:- (i) Importers registered under Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) Programme; and (ii) Importers paying Customs duty of ten thousand rupees or more per bill of entry. 3.
