Mandatory implementation of eSANCHIT in Exports - Customs - PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 36/2019

Attention of ah Exporters, Customs Brokers, Members of the trade and all person; concerned is invited to the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) Board Circular No. 43/2018- Customs dated 08.11.2018 regarding implementation of Paperless Processing under SWIFT- Uploading of Supporting Documents (eSANCHIT) in Exports and CBIC Board Notification No. 33/2019- Customs(N.T ) dated 25.04.2019. A facility to upload the digitally signed documents on eSANCHIT in exports was introduced on pilot basis at all ICES locations across the country for all types of exports under ICES. 2. Attention is invited to the Notification No. 33/2019- Customs (N.T.) dated 25.04.2019 which has superseded Shipping Bill (Electronic Integrated Declaration) Regulation, 2011. It is now mandatory to upload digitally signed supporting documents on eSANCHIT at the time of filing of shipping bills. Hence, the Exporters/Customs Brokers are not permitted to submit the supporting documents in hard copies. henceforth. 3. The procedure for eSANCHIT in exports is similar to procedure for eSANCHIT in imports vide Circular No. 40/2017 dated 13.10.2017. Ail the Exporters/authorized persons(customs brokers can enter the electronic integrated declaration and upload the supporting documents on the ICEGATE by affixing his digital signature on the ICEGATE or get the electronic integrated declaration made on the ICEGATE along with the supporting documents by availing the services at the service centre. 4. In view of the above facilities extended to the Exporters and Customs Brokers- it is decided to make it mandatory to upload digitally signed supporting documents on eSANCHIT at the time of filing in hard copies and the digitally signed supporting documents should be uploaded on eSANCHIT by the exporters/authorized persons/customs brokers, henceforth. 5.
