No. VIII (12) Import/ Tech/PN/14/2016-17/pt.II/11588-93 Dated: 12.07.2019 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 15/2019 Subject: Dispensing with the procedure of submission of Hard Copy of the Bill of Entry of the Custodian for delivery of the Import Cargo-reg. Attention of all Importers, Customs Brokers, Custodians, Members of Trade and other Stakeholders is invited to the Bill or Entry (Electronic Integrated Declaration and Paperless Processing) Regulation , 2018 issued vide Notification No. 36/2018 Customs (NT) dated 11.05.2018. 2. At present, after 'Out of Charge' order is given by the proper officer, the hard copy of Bill of Entry (custodian copy) is required to be submitted to the Custodian for issue of Gate Pass. 3. In terms of the clause 5 of the Regulations referred above, it is hereby stipulated that the custodian shall issue the Gate Pass/Delivery Order on electronic transmission of Out of Order (OOC) through ICEGATE without insisting for the hard copy of the Out of Order. However, if electronic transmission of OOC to the custodian is not possible due to system failure or any other technical problem, the custodian shall issue Manual Delivery Order duly signed by the Deputy/ Assistant Commissioner (Import Shed). The Manual Delivery Order should be regularized in the system by the next working day. 4. This Public Notice shall be strictly adhered to by the Custodian and the officers. 5. Difficulties, if any, faced in the implementation of this Public Notice may be brought to the notice of the DC/ AC (Appraising), Air Cargo Complex (Import), New Customs House, New Delhi.
