Notification regarding timings of functioning in the Export Shed - Customs - Public Notice No. 08/2019

No. VIII/12/ACE/Shed-Admn/04/2017/Pt/4404 Dated: 24.07.2019 Public Notice No. 08/2019 Sub: Notification regarding timings of functioning in the Export Shed Attention all the Exporters, Custom Brokers and all member of trade is invited to the following important changes: 1. In view of the trend of late arrival of goods at the Export Shed, Air cargo Complex Commissionerate (Exports), Delhi, it has been decided that the timings of functioning in the Export Shed shall be from I pm to 9 pm. It may be noted that the Export Freight Officers (one Air Customs Superintendent and one Air Customs Officer) would be available, as before, on a 24 X 7 basis to clear the export shipments. 2. Exporters are, however, requested to bring their goods during the above mentioned time window to ensure expeditious clearance of their export shipments. 3. The Central Registration Unit (CRU), which looks after the work of appraisement of export consignments, shall be functional from 10 am to 6 pm, on all working day, export on Second and Fourth Saturdays. Sundays and Public Holidays. Beyond the regular working hours of CRU, appraisement Of export consignments of AEOs, Star Export Houses, Manufacturer Exporters and perishable commodities shall be attended to by the Export Shed officers. 4. A certain minimum officers' strength shall be available to attend the clearance of export consignments on a 24 X 7 basis. The request(s) for deployment of additional officers, if any, made by the representatives of trade shall be considered. 5. This comes into effect from 1 st August 2019. (Sunil K Sinha) Commissioner
