No. VIII(12)/Import/Tech./PN/06/2020/3222-35 Dated: 02.03.2020 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 13 /2020 Sub: Implementation of automated clearance at ACC (Import) Commissionerate - reg. Attention of Trade is invited to Board's Circular No. 05/2020-Customs dated 27.01.2020 (Annexure-I) vide which facility of automated clearance was implemented on a pilot basis at two Customs locations - Chennai Customs House and Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House with effect from 06.02.2020. 2. After review of the implementation of the pilot roll-out of automated clearance at above two Customs locations, Board, vide Circular No. 15/2020 dated 28.02.2020 (Annexure- II) has decided to extend the facility of automated clearance of Bills of Entry at all Customs formations, with effect from 05.03.2020, where the Customs EDI System is operational. 3. Now, in terms of the above said decision, this facility will be available at Air Cargo Complex (Import) Commissionerate, New Delhi with effect from 05.03.2020. 4. The important features of the automated clearance are as follows:- i. All the Customs Compliance Verification (CC V) requirements under the Customs Act, rules, instructions etc. will be done by the designated proper officer of Customs. ii. The CCV would operate even while duty has not been paid or payment is under process. iii. After completion of CCV, the proper officer of Customs, on satisfaction that the goods are ready for clearance, will confirm the completion of the CCV for the particular Bill of Entry in the Customs System. iv. On confirmation of payment of applicable duty, the Customs System will then electronically give clearance to the Bill of Entry. 5. All trade associations/members of Customs Brokers Association are requested to take note and publicize the contents of this Public Notice among their members/constituents. 6. For the departmental officers, this may be treated as Standing Order. 7. Difficulties, if any, may be brought to the notice of Additional Commissioner of Customs (Technical), ACC Import, New Customs House, New Delhi.
