Introduction or 24x7 clearance of Export Cargo at ICD, TKD - Customs - PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 06/2020Extract OFFICE OF COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS (EXPORT) INLAND CONTAINER DEPOT: TUGHLAKABAD: NEW DELHI-110020 C. No. VIII/ICD/TKD/Export/Tech./23/2017/Part-II/15131-15150 Date:- 25.02.2020 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 06/2020 Sub: Introduction or 24x7 clearance of Export Cargo at ICD, TKD. Attention of the exporters, Customs Brokers and all other stake holders is invited towards various decisions related to 24x7 Customs clearance at designated ports communicated through CBIC Circulars from time to time. 2. Due to ongoing shutdown in China on account of Corona virus outbreak, there is an apprehension of disruption in supply of raw material/ inputs to our industrial units which were dependent on these raw materials. There could also be a dip in off take in exports to China. On the contrary, there is a strong likelihood of an immediate surge in the imports from and exports to China once the spread of the virus is brought fully under control. 3. To handle such emergent situations, it has been decided to introduce 24x7 clearances of exports cargo from ICD, TKD, Export, New Delhi so as to address any congestion or delay or surge on account of prevailing conditions or cessation thereof. Working hours of the Export Shed and export processing cells shall be suitably extended and deployment of sufficient number of officers would be ensured for the Customs clearance work outside regular office hours to tackle any incipient instance of congestion/ surge or delay. The custodian and other stake holders are also being requested to extend the clearance related work after regular office hours, to tackle such a situation. 4. The Custodian is required to ensure all logistic support like machinery/ cranes for container movement, service staff, labour along with necessary infrastructure round the clock for smooth functioning of 24x7 Customs Cargo Clearance Facility. 5. These instructions would remain in operation till end of May, 2020 by which time the disruption in the supply chains are expected to have settled. CRCL Labs would also function 24 x 7 so that test results could made available at the earliest. 6.
