The attention of the Importers, Exporters, General Trade, Customs brokers, and all other stakeholders is invited to the cited subject. 2. In order to ensure social distancing and to minimize the physical human contact during the period of restrictions on account of the threat of the Ncovid-19, it is decided that the applications requesting for the amendment in terms of the sec.149+ of the Customs Act,1962 and for waiver of late fee (waived vide PN No.03/2020 of CCO, Bengaluru Customs Zone) on account of the delay in filing bill of entry can be made by sending email to specified official email id 1 Appraising I/II/III [email protected] 3. The above email ID is of Deputy Commissioner of Customs. In case he is temporarily working from home. He will immediately convey to the concerned DC/AC in office. The concerned officer will act upon the requests, received through such email and keep the hard copies of the same as record in the respective section. 4. A copy of such email requests shall be endorsed by the Trade to Shri Joannes George, Joint Coomissioner, Mangauru Customs on email ID. [email protected] . Who shall monitor the disposal of such requests, on priority 5. The applications for the amendments would be examined by the competent authority and decide the matter as per the relevant provisions of the law and the procedure prescribed. The decision in this regard would also be communicated by the return mail to the concerned. 6. Action to be taken in terms of decisions conveyed in this Public Notice Should be considered as Standing Order for Officers/staff. 7.
