Dated: 23.03.2020 TRADE FACILITY NO. 9/2020 Subject: Preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID 19- reg. Attention of all importers, exporters, customs brokers, members of the trade and industry and all other stakeholders is drawn to instructions issued vide F No. 50050/40/2020-Ad.1, dated 22.03.2020, issued by Central Board of Indirect Taxes (copy enclosed). 2. Accordingly, following Sections of the Custom House which are essential for the clearance of the cargo, are being directed to work with skeletal staff so as to discharge critical as well as essential function of the office: i. Appraising, ii. Licence, iii. I B, iv. Administration, v. CFSs/Docks, vi. CSD, vii. CEPC, viii. ACC, ix. Courier, x. Drawback, xi. Preventive. 3. All the above mentioned sections shall function under the supervision of AC/DC assisted by an Appraiser/ Superintendent, Examiner/ PO, ADO/STA, TA, LDC and any other staff as required by the AC/DC. 4. The AC/ DC of these sections shall delegate the work with the staff available so as to discharge essential functions of the office. 5. The staffs of remaining sections should be in the station and shall be available on the telephone or other electronic means of communication at all times. They shall also attend office, as is called for, in case of exigencies. 6. The working order maybe revised as and when required depending on the circumstances and the instruction issued by the Government of India/ Public Local Administration from time to time. 7. Difficulties if any, may be brought to the notice of the Commissioner of Customs. No separate public notice/ standing order is issued in this regard. (MOHD. YOUSAF) Commissioner of Customs
