No. P3/20/2019-AM(Stats) Date: 05.05.2020 Public Notice No. 33/2020 Subject : Enbloc movement of containers from Visakha Container Terminal Pvt Ltd to Container Freight Stations during the lock down period of COVID-19 -Reg. Attention of all importers, exporters, Custom Brokers, Custodians of CFSs, Port Terminal Operators, Shipping Lines/Shipping Agents, PGAs, members of the Trade, is invited to the above mentioned subject. As per Public Notice No.01/2018 dated 11.01.2018, in respect of DPD Containers, importers have to evacuate all the contianers within 72 hours of landing in the Container Terminal. Due to lockdown announced by the Government of India, it is noticed that many import containers could not be cleared from terminal within the time stipulated resulting congestion. In order to avoid congestion in the terminal and also based on the request from the terminal, after considering the space availability in the all CFSs, it is decided to allow the terminal to move DPD Containers, to any of the following CFS. i) VPL Integral CFS ii) CWC CFS iii) SICAL SMART CFS 3 In view of extraordinary current scenario and nation efforts to contain the spread of COVID -19, CFSs are hereby advised to adopt a sympathetic and humanitarian approach in collection of charges. Further, they are advised to follow the Order No.7 8/2020 dated 29.3.2020 and 31.3.2020 respectively, issued by Directorate General of Shipping and two advisories issued by this office dated 17.04.2020 and 24.04.2020. 4 The Terminal shall inform the concerned importer/Customs Broker in advance, about the details of the CFS to which container is moved. 5 Any difficulty faced, may immediately brought to the notice of the Joint/ Additional Commissioner of Customs.
