Implementation of the Bradma Scheme. - Income Tax - 402/CBDT

INSTRUCTION NO. 402/CBDT Dated: April 1, 1972 In order to evolve a uniform procedure for the Bradma Scheme a Conference was held at Bangalore in last February. The I.A.Cs of the ranges where Bradma Scheme was in vogue, participated in the discussions. Suggestions from the Commissioners who are currently incharge of the implementation of the Scheme, have also been considered. 2. In the light, inter alia of these discussions and suggestions, a note has been prepared setting out the procedures, etc., to be adopted for the implementation of the Bradma Scheme. This has been approved by the Board. These procedures should be adopted ab initio in charges where the Bradma Scheme is newly introduced and the procedures in vogue in charges where Bradma Scheme has already been introduced should be brought to line with those mentioned in the Note as early as possible. 3. With a view to keeping a watch on the progress of implementation of the Bradma Scheme and the utilisation of the Bradma printed forms in the field offices, a report may be compiled for each month and sent to the Board by the 15th of the next month. The I.A.Cs are expected to verify by occasional visits to the offices, if necessary, whether the Bradma-printed forms have been actually utilised by the office. The Commissioners may also obtain monthly reports from the I.A.Cs of the ranges to which Bradma facilities have been extended. Based on the reports of the I.A.Cs appropriate remarks should be mentioned against column 6 of the monthly report.
