No delay in disposal of applications for No Objection/Tax Clearance Certificates. - Income Tax - 914/CBDT

INSTRUCTION NO. 914/CBDT Dated : January 21, 1976 Representations have been received that persons wanting to make remittances on account of lump-sum know-how fees to foreign collaborators experienced considerable difficulty in obtaining Tax Clearance certificates from the Income-tax Officers with the result that remittances get delayed. 2. The Board desires that there should be no avoidable delay in the disposal of applications for No Objection/Tax Clearance Certificates. Periodical checks should be exercised by the supervisory officers to ensure compliance with these instructions.
