INSTRUCTION NO. 967/CBDT Dated : August 17, 1976 Please refer to para 79 of the minutes of the Commissioners' Conference held from 9th to 11th May, 1976. 2. Instructions have already been issued by the Board in F.No.263/5/76-ITJ dated 27.4.1976 for expeditious disposal of High Demand appeals. 3. In Board's Instruction No.500 (F.No.277/14/72-ITJ) dated 17.2.1973, it was reiterated that all appellate orders should be given effect to within a fortnight of receipt of appellate order by the Income-tax Officer. In continuation of the above Instructions, the Board have decided that the practice followed in some of the charges of sending consolidated lists of Tribunals orders by the Commissioners of Income-tax and the AAC's orders by IACs to the ITOs for reporting on one of the copies of the lists, the dates of giving effect to the appellate orders and the dates of issue of refund orders wherever they are called for should be adopted in all Cs.IT. charges to achieve the aim.
