Draft paras proposed by C&AG of India for inclusion in the Audit Report. - Income Tax - 1001/CBDT

INSTRUCTION NO. 1001/CBDT Dated : August 24, 1976 Reference is invited to Board's instructions No. 855* (F. No. 246/54/74-A PAC-I), dated the 19th July, 1975 prescribing the proforma report to be sent by the Commissioners of Income-tax to the Board in respect of draft paras proposed by the C AG of India for inclusion in the Audit Report. On further consideration, the form has been revised and the report on draft Audit Paras for C AG's Report, 1975-76 may please be sent in the attached revised proforma. 2. The Board desire that Commissioners of Income-tax should send proforma reports after carefully verifying the facts contained therein with utmost expedition as the Board has to intimate to the C AG its acceptance or otherwise of the Audit objection within 6 weeks of its receipt in Board's office. The importance of the proforma report need not be over-emphasised as it forms the basis of all correspondence with the C AG/PAC.
