Quotations of equity shares. - Income Tax - 1035/CBDT

NSTRUCTION NO. 1035/CBDT Dated : January 24, 1977 It has been brought to the notice of the Board that quotations of equity shares of New Great Eastern Spinning Weaving Ltd., on 29-3-76, of Western India Spinning on 25-3-76, of Western India Glass On 25-3-76; and of C.T.R. Mfg. on 27-3-76 were inconsistent with the market value. The Bombay Stock Exchange, Bombay by a notification in the Daily Official list dated the 4th December, 1976 deleted from the records the quotations of New Great Eastern Spinning Weaving Ltd., Western India Spinning Western India Glass and by a notification in the Daily Official list dated the 18th December, 1976, the quotation of these shares on the dates indicated above. 2. This information may please be passed on to the assessing Officers for their guidance with necessary instructions to make a proper investigation while valuing the shares of these companies.
