Acknowledgement of receipt of recommendations. - Income Tax - 1206/CBDT

INSTRUCTION NO. 1206/CBDT Dated : September 22, 1978 The Public Accounts Committee have commented adversely on the delay in sending the action taken note on the recommendations made by them. The Board desire that whenever a recommendation of the Public Accounts Committee is forwarded to the Commissioners, they should first of all acknowledge receipt of that recommendation. Thereafter the necessary report should be sent to the Board positively by the due date so that it is processed in the Board's office and action taken note is submitted to the Public Accounts Committee in time. Great importance should be attached to the timely implementation of the various recommendations made by the committee as well as to the assurances given to the committee by the Government. This should be impressed on all the officials working at all levels in the department.
