GOVERNMENT OF ASSAM ORDERS BY THE GOVERNOR FINANCE (TAXATION) DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION The 1st February, 2018 No.FTX.56/2017/Pt-II/099.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 164 of the Assam Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (Assam Act No. XXVIII of 2017), the Governor of Assam, hereby appoints the 1st day of February, 2018, as the date from which the provisions of serial numbers 8 and 9 of notification No. FTX.56/2017/Pt-II/2 dated the 17 th October, 2017, published in the Assam Gazette, Extraordinary, vide number 589 dated the 17 th October, 201 7, shall come into force.
