Rescind the Notification No. 169/2017/TAXES dated 15th November, 2017 - S. R. O. No. 711/2022 - Kerala SGST

No. 711/2022 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Kerala State Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (20 of 2017), the Government of Kerala, on the recommendations of the Council, hereby rescinds the notification issued under G.O. (P) No.169/2017/TAXES dated 15th November, 2017 and published as S.R.O. No. 745/2017 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 2520 dated 15th November, 2017, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission. 2. This notification shall come into force on the 18th day of July, 2022 By order of the Governor, RAJESH KUMAR SINGH, Additional Chief Secretary to Government. Explanatory Note (This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.) Government of Kerala had exempted the state tax leviable in excess of two and half percent on the intra-State supply of certain supplied to the certain institutions as per notification issued under G.O. (P) No. 169/2017/TAXES dated 15th November, 2017 and published as S.R.O. No. 745/2017 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 2520 dated 15th November, 2017. Now on the recommendation of the Goods and Service Tax Council, the Government have decided to rescind the said notification. The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
