Amends Schedule - I (Imports) of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09. TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART-II, SECTION-3, SUB SECTION (ii) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE NOTIFICATION NO.103(RE-2008)/2004-2009 NEW DELHI , DATED 21st APRIL, 2009 S.O. (E) - In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2004-09 , the Central Government hereby amends Schedule-I (Imports) of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09 as under: 1. The following entries under Notification No. 94(RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated 2nd March, 2009 may be read as follows : "8525 60 19 ---- Other Free Radio communication equipment including VHF, UHF and microwave communication equipment not permitted to be imported except against a licence to be issued by the WPC wing of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. 8525 60 99 ---- Other Free Not permitted to be imported except against a licence to be issued by the WPC wing of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology." 2. This will be effective from 2nd March, 2009, as no change in Policy of any item was intended vide Notification No. 94(RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated 2nd March, 2009 . 3. This issues in public interest.
