Amending of 19 Notifications

Notification No. 89/87-C.E.

Dated 1-3-1987

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table.

01.	173/84-Central Excises, dated the 1st August, 1984.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. No. 9 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
02.	74/85-Central Excises, dated the 17th March, 1985.	In the Schedule to the said notifications,-
		(i)					in Sl. No. 3, for the entry in column (2), the entry "Cathode ray tubes (other than black and white television picture tubes for monochrome sets of screen size exceeding 36 cm and colour television picture tubes)." shall be substituted;
		(ii)					in Sl. No. 17, for the entry in column (2), the entry "Relays of contact rating up to 7 amperes." shall be substituted; and
		(iii)					in Sl. No. 25, for entry in column (2), the entry "Electronic valves and tubes (other than Cathode ray tubes), transistors, semiconductor diodes and other semiconductor devices" shall be substituted.
03.	45/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. No. 14 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
04.	49/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification,-
		(i)			Sl. No. 2 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted, and
		(ii)			in Sl. No. 3, in column (4), for the abbreviation and figures "Rs. 45.00", the abbreviation and figures "Rs. 60.00" shall be substituted.
05.	64/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. No. 14 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
06.	96/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. No. 3 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
07.	108/86-Central Excises, dated the 27th February, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. No. 6 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
08.	119/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. No. 5 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
09.	132/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification,-
		(i)				S. No. 10 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted;
		(ii)				in S. No. 30, for the entry in column (4), the entry "20% ad valorem" shall be substituted;
		(iii)				in S. No. 31, for the entry in column (4), the entry "20% ad valorem" shall be substituted; and
		(iv)				S. No. 40 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
10.	133/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, in S. No. 9, for the entry in column (3), the entry "Polybutylene Terephthalate" shall be substituted.
11.	151/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986.	(i)		In the Table annexed to the said notification, in S. No. 1, for the entry in column (4), the entry "11 per cent ad valorem" shall be substituted; and
		(ii)		In the second proviso to the said notification, for the word and figures "12% ad valorem", the words and figures "14 per cent ad valorem" shall be substituted.
12.	162/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, in S. No. 1, for the entry in column (3), the entry "Tractors of engine capacity not exceeding 1800 cubic centimetres and chassis, therefor" shall be substituted.
13.	167/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, in S. No. 2, in column (2), the figures "44.01, 44.02, 44.03, 44.04, 44.05" shall be omitted.
14.	175/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986.	(i)	In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, in clause (a), in sub-clause (i), for the words "specified goods", the words "specified goods cleared for home consumption" shall be substituted; and

		(ii)	In the Annexure to the said notification, in S. No. 2, -
			(a)					for the figures "0901.90", the figures "0901.90, 0903.10" shall be substituted, and
			(b)					for the figures "5608.00" the figures "5608.00, 5903.11, 5903.21, 5903.91" shall be substituted.
15.	188/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. Nos. 2, 3 and 4 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
16.	221/86-Central Excises, dated the 2nd April, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. Nos. 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
17.	228/86-Central Excises, dated the 3rd April, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 14 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
18.	230/86-Central Excises, dated the 3rd April, 1986.	In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
19.	332/86-Central Excises, dated the 2nd June, 1986.	In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the words "Twenty per cent ad valorem", the words "Twenty-five per cent ad valorem" shall be substituted.
