Officer on Special Duty (Bills), New Delhi delegated with power of investigation and adjudication throughout the territory of India

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of section 2 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and rule 4 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Officer on Special Duty (Bills) in the Directorate General of Inspection and Audit (Customs and Central Excise), New Delhi, as Central Excise Officer and invests him with the powers of Collector of Central Excises, to be exercised by him throughout the territory of India, for the purposes of investigation and adjudication of such cases, as may, from time to time, be assigned to him by the said Central Board of Excise and Customs.
