Closure of Salt Factory

In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 109 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby directs that on the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the salt works comprising of the licensed areas of the licences bearing the Nos. mentioned in the Schedule below, totalling 226.545 acres in the Balacheruvu Salt Factory in Nellimukku village in Visakhapatnam district in the State of Andhra Pradesh, shall be closed down for salt manufacture and that the licences relating to these salt works comprised in the salt factory referred to in the said Schedule shall stand cancelled.
