In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 273/86-Central Excises, dated the 24th April, 1986, namely :—

In the said notification, in the opening portion, after the words "read with any other notification", the brackets, words and figures "[not being a notification providing for any exemption for giving credit with respect to any duty of excise under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), or the Additional Duty under Section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), already paid on the raw material or component parts used in the production or manufacture of such goods.]" shall be inserted.
