Exemption to Small Scale Units

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 175/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986, namely :—

In the said notification, in the Annexure,—

(I) in S. No. 1, for the figures "37.06", the figures "37.06, 56.02" shall be substituted;

(II) in S. No. 2, for the figures "7302.20", the figures "7302.90" shall be substituted;

(III) for S. No. 3 and the entry relating thereto the following S. No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :—

"3. Powered cycles and powered cycle rickshaws; evaporative type of coolers and parts of such coolers;" and

(IV) in S. No. 4, in item (iv), for the words "articles of polyurethene foam", the words "articles of polyurethene foam, plastic material commonly known as polyvinyl chloride compounds (PVC compounds); rods (including wire rods) of aluminium;" shall be substituted.
