Exemption to components of fuel efficient motor vehicles Notification No. 108/87-Cus. Dated 1-3-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended, or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. In the Table annexed to the said notification, after Serial No. 5 and the entry relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) "6. Wiper assembly including wiper motor. 7. Head lamp assembly. 8. Shcok absorbers. 9. Geat-box. 10. Dash board assemblies. 11. Air suspension assembly. 12. Water pump/thermostats. 13. Mufflers. 14. Piston assembly. 15. After burners for pollution control. 16. Air/oil/fuel filter assemblies.". 2. 75/85-Customs, dated the 17th March, 1985. In the Table I annexed to the said notification, after Serial No. 9 and the entry relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) "10. Air suspension assembly. 11. Turbo chargers. 12. Retarders (Electrical/Hydraulic). 13. Water pump/thermostats. 14. Mufflers. 15. Piston assembly. 16. After burners for pollution control. 17. Air/oil/fuel filter assemblies". 3. 350/85-Customs, dated the 5th December, 1985. In the Table annexed to the said notification, after Serial No. 9 and the entry relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) "10. Dash board assemblies. 11. Air suspension assembly. 12. Retarders (Electrical/Hydraulic) 13. Water pump/thermostats. 14. Mufflers. 15. Piston assembly. 16. After burners for pollution control. 17. Air/oil/fuel filter assemblies". 4. 351/85-Customs, dated the 5th December, 1985. In the Table annexed to the said notification, after Serial No. 5 and the entry relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) "6. Head lamp assembly. 7. Dashboard assemblies. 8. Shock absorbers. 9. Mufflers. 10. Piston assembly. 11. Air/oil/fuel filter assemblies".
