Amendment to eight notifications Notification No. 93/87-Cus. Dated 1-3-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. THE TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 150/81-Customs, dated 25th May 1981. In the Table annexed to the said notification, - in column (3) under item (a) for Sl. No. (vii) and (viii) and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "(vii) Textiles". 2. 8/84-Customs, dated the 12th January, 1984. In the Table annexed to the said notification, in part A, for item Nos. (vii) and (viii) and the entries relating thereto, the following item No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "(vii) Textiles". 3. 61/86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification against Sl. No. 7, in column (2), for the existing entries, the following entries shall be substituted, namely :- "7213.10, 7213.31, 7213.39, 7213.41, 7213.49, 7213.50, 7214.10, 7214.20, 7214.40, 7214.50, 7215.20, 7215.30, 7215.90". 4. 86/86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) against Sl. No. 3, in column (2), item (e) and the entry relating thereto in column (3) shall be omitted. (ii) against Sl. No. 15, in column (2) the word "staples", shall be omitted. 5. 152/86-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1986. In the said notification, - (i) to paragraph 1, the following proviso shall be added, namely :- "Provided that nothing contained in this notification shall effect the exemption granted under any other notification of the Government of India for the time being in force, from the duty of customs specified in the said First Schedule in respect of goods referred to in this notification." (ii) in the Table, after Sl. No. 3 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) "4. III Stainless steel 300". 6. 255/86-Customs, dated the 17th April, 1986. In the said notification, - for the words "electric arc furnace unit", the words "electric arg furnace unit or induction furnace unit" shall be substituted. 7. 480/86-Customs, dated the 4th December, 1986. In the said notification, for the words "electric arc furnace", wherever they occur, in paragraph 1 and the proviso, the words "electric arc furnace or induction furnace" shall be substituted. 8. 482/86-Customs, dated the 4th December, 1986. In the said notification for the words "electric arc furnace", wherever they occur, in paragraph 1 and the proviso, the words "electric arc furnace or induction furnace" shall be substituted.
