Appointment of officers of Customs Notification No. 236/86-Cus. Dated 4-4-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby appoints the Director-General of the Central Economic Intelligence Bureau as 1 [Principal Commissioner of Customs or Commissioner of Customs, as the case may be], within his jurisdiction.
