NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th April, 2008 S.O. 1061(E). ‑ In exercise of the powers conferred by sub‑section (1) of Section 13 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), the Central Government hereby constitutes a Committee to be called the Approval Committee for the information technology/information technology enabled services Special Economic Zone at Vadapalanji Village, Madurai South Taluk and Kinnimangalam Village, Tirumangalarn Taluk, Madurai 11, Madurai District Tamil Nadu developed By M/s. Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited for the purposes of the said Act consisting of the following Chairperson and Members, namely:‑ Development Commissioner Chairperson, MEPZ Special Economic Zone ex‑officio Director or Deputy Secretary Member, to the Government of India, ex‑officio Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce or his nominee not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India Zonal Joint Director General of Member, Foreign Trade, Chennai ex‑officio Commissioner of Customs or Member, Central Excise having territorial ex‑officio jurisdiction over the Special Economic Zone or his nominee not below the rank of Joint Commissioner Commissioner of Income Tax Member, having teff itoriaIjurisdiction ex‑officio over the Special Economic Zone or his nominee not below the rank of Joint Commissioner Director (Banking) in the Ministry Member, of Finance, Banking Division, ex‑officio Government of India Director, Tamil Nadu Industrial Member, Guidance and Export Promotion ex‑officio Bureau, Government of TamilNadu Secretary (Industries), Member, Government of Tamil Nadu ex‑officio Representative of M/s.
