Constitutes a Committee to be called the Approval Committee for the Information Technology/Information Technology Enabled Services Special‑ Economic Zone at Ilandhaitkulam village, Madurai 1, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, Tamil Nadu - S.O. 1058(E). - Special Economic Zone

NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th April, 2008 S.O. 1058(E). ‑ In exercise of the powers conferred by sub‑section (1) of Section 13 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), the Central Government hereby constitutes a Committee to be called the Approval Committee for the Information Technology/Information Technology Enabled Services Special‑ Economic Zone at Ilandhaitkulam village, Madurai 1, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, Tamil Nadu developed by M/s. Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited for the purposes of the said Act consisting of the following Chairperson and Members, namely: ‑ 1. Development Commissioner of ‑Chairperson, ex‑officio the Special Economic Zone Director or Deputy Secretary to ‑Member ex‑officio the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce or his nominee not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India Zonal Joint Director General of ‑Member ex‑officio Foreign Trade, Chennai Commissioner of Customs or Central ‑Member ex‑officio Excise having territorial jurisdiction over the Special Economic Zone or his nominee not below the rank of Joint Commissioiner. Commissioner of Income Tax ‑Member ex‑officio having territorial jurisdiction over the Special Economic Zone or his nominee not below the rank of joint Commissioner. Director (Banking) in the Ministry ‑Member ex‑officio of Finance, Banking Division, Government of India Director, Tamil Nadu Industrial ‑Member ex‑officio Guidance and Export Promotion Bureau, Government of Tamil Nadu secretary (industries), Government ‑Member ex‑officio of Tamil Nadu 9.
