Global crude oil price of Indian Basket increases to US$ 109.39/bbl on 21.01.2013 |

Press Information Bureau Government of India Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas 22-January-2013 12:24 IST The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 109.39/barrel (bbl) on 21.01.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 108.92/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 18.01.2013. In rupee terms also, the crude oil price went up to Rs 5892.84/bbl on 21.01.2013 as compared to Rs 5876.23/bbl on 18.01.2013. This was due to increase in price in dollar terms. Rupee dollar-exchange rate on 21.01.2013 was Rs 53.87/US$ against Rs 53.95/US$ on 18.01.2013. The table below gives details in this regard:
