about the content in ER-7, Central Excise

Respected Sir,

                         I have to file   ER-7 of the year 2011-12, in it I have to enter the machineries installed, then I have to enter the machinery purchased in the year 2011-12 , or the old machineries I have purchased in previous year also.

In ER-7 you have to provide the information about the main machinery. It may be old or new.

In serial number 7, ‘Main machineries/plant’ means the machineries/plant producing the final product or intermediate product. For example, for a factory producing steel bar from iron ore, the kiln (used for making sponge iron), furnace (used for making ingot) and rolling mill (used for making steel bar) would be regarded as the main machinery/plant.
