It has been observed that Direct Port Delivery (DPD) facility reduces the time and cost for importers considerably. Therefore, in order to reduce dwell time and cost associated with import at Customs (Prev.) Commissionerate, Jamnagar, it has been decided to extend Direct Port Delivery (DPD) permission to importers as mentioned in the Annexure-A enclosed to this Public Notice subject to following conditions. 3. In respect of DPD containers, importer has to arrange Container trailers and evacuate all the containers within 48 hours of landing in the Port Terminal. If Containers are not taken delivery within 48 hours of the landing, such containers shall be moved to the CFSs as preferred by the importers in their advance intimation to Shipping Lines.
