Delegation of power Notification No. 49/88-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 1-7-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of Season 152 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby directs that the following powers of the Central Board of Excise and Customs under the said Customs Act, shall also be exercisable by the Principal Collectors of Customs, West Zone, East Zone, South Zone and North Zone, within their respective jurisdictions, namely :- (i) power to declare places to be warehousing stations under Section 9 of the said Customs Act; (ii) power to extend the period for which goods may remain warehoused under section 61 of the said Customs Act; (iii) powers under the proviso to clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 74 of the said Customs Act in cases in which the goods are entered for export within three years from the date of payment of duty on the importation thereof.
