Encashing the Demand Drafts - petitioner is aggrieved as pursuant to a search, her accounts have been appropriated and Demand Drafts payable to the Revenue have been prepared confirmed through SMS received from bank - Held that - Having regard to the circumstances, the Revenue is restrained from encashing the Demand Drafts till the next date of hearing to the extent that the amounts have been appropriated from the petitioner s accounts.

Summary

The Delhi High Court allowed the exemption application and issued a stay order restraining the Revenue from encashing Demand Drafts until the next hearing date. The petitioner can operate the accounts subject to these orders. Case to be listed on 19th April, 2017.
