2024 (9) TMI 895 - HC - GSTSeeking adjournment in the contempt cases - seeking review of the judgment - contempt of court - HELD THAT - Exercising the powers under Article 215 of the Constitution of India read with the provisions under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 and, as laid down in the High Court of Jharkhand Rules, the Registry shall issue a notice to the opposite party nos. 2 and 3 in Appendix-I with a direction to them to file their show-cause reply with in two weeks. Post these matters on 10th May 2024.
The High Court dismissed the Special Leave Petition filed by JBVNL in a case involving M/s Techno Electric and Engineering Company Limited. JBVNL's review petition, filed 9 months later, does not excuse non-payment as directed by the Court. Non-compliance may be contempt of court. Notice issued to JBVNL to show cause within two weeks. Postponed to 10th May 2024.
