Regulation 78 - Repeal and saving - Securities and Exchange Board of India (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996

Repeal and saving 78. (1) The Securities Exchange Board of India (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1993 are hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal : (a) anything done or any action taken or purported to have been done or taken, including registration or approval granted, fees collected, scheme announced, registration or approval, suspended or cancelled, any inquiry or investigation commenced under the said regulations, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of these regulations ; (b) any application made to the Board under the said regulations and pending before it shall be deemed to have been made under the corresponding provisions of these regulations ; (c) any appeals preferred to the Central Government under the said regulations and pending before it shall be deemed to have been preferred under the corresponding provisions of these regulations.
