Article 30 - Entry into Force - Chile

ARTICLE 30 ENTRY INTO FORCE 1. Each of the Contracting States shall notify the other through the diplomatic channels of the completion of the procedures required by law for the bringing into force of this Agreement. This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of the later of these notifications. 2. The provisions of this Agreement shall have effect: (a) in India, in respect of income derived in any fiscal year beginning on or after the first day of April next following the date on which the Agreement enters into force; and (b) in Chile, in respect of taxes on income obtained and amounts paid, credited to an account, put at the disposal or accounted as an expense, on or after the first day of January in the calendar year next following that in which this Agreement enters into force.
