Some selected suggestions:

Author visited website on 22.01.22 and found that some very important suggestions are given by general public. Suggestions concerns  education , health, health hazards and finances of people .

Many have made suggestions for increasing tax on tobacco products and liquor products with a view to reduce health hazards. Author feels that this area must be taken in right earnest and with a zeal to STOP TOBACCO AND LIQUOR CONSUMPTION.

Many have suggested to increase spending and deductions for education and medical benefits. An elder brother who is meeting education cost for younger brother has requested for deduction for such expenses on education , just like if the same were incurred by father or mother they would get a deduction. Then there is no reason for not allowing deduction for education of sibling.

Increasing tax exemptions and deductions and tax rates is also rightly hoped because there has not been any meaningful benefit in last many years.

To avoid anomaly caused by lower tax on companies and higher tax on individuals, firms and LLP has also been raised as suggestion. This is fully justified. Now the situation is that a person can save tax by forming a company and transferring his personal income in company instead of in personal hands.

Suggestions for some simplification of tax deductions, and exemption and ease of doing business have been placed.

Unemployment, employability, and generation of employment have also been expressed as serious concerns.

More spending on science and technology is requested.

Civil Services should also be rationalized. A civil servant like IAS officer should not be considered fit for all jobs.

Some of suggestions are reproduced below with highlights added by author.

Under Income Tax, all medical related deductions to be clubbed with a much higher overall limit.

NVenkateshwaran

Rental deduction and deduction towards own housing for self-occupation should be clubbed and given a higher limit.

House Rent Income and interest expense to be treated separately in the existing section.

NVenkateshwaran

The deductions and exemptions related to Housing for Individuals are spread across many sections with varying limits.
Salaried people with an allowance "named" House Rent Allowance get an exemption under Section 10 with regard to rent expenses paid.
Others who do not get a House Rent Allowance get a deduction under Section 80GG for the same.
Those who buy or build a house or repay housing loan principal get a deduction under section 80C within the overall limit of ₹ 150000 bundled with many other investments / deductions, some of which actually cover the whole limit. (There is another section on affordable housing but that is specific to first time house owners so that is not considered here).
Interest paid on housing loan is deductible under Section 24.

All deductions related to self-occupied housing - either owned or rented - should ideally be clubbed into a single Section with a higher limit to avoid discrimination based on nomenclature of earning / expense.

In the coming decades , the World , especially in India we might face the biggest problem there is : UNEMPLOYMENT , that too in the Highly educated youth population.
Only possible solution for the same would be : TO PROMOTE TOURISM , mostly from the rural areas of India.
Such a task can be successfully completed only by GOI.
Along the industry : HOMESTAYS are the best .
GOI missionary can create thousands of job vacancies , by promoting Homestays in the villages of India.
Furthermore , such an initiative would be of minimum burden to the govt. in terms of capital investment.

Income Tax reforms to be taken up in the upcoming budget session. Taxes over 15 lacs is at 30% rate while Corporate Tax is 15%.
Investment like PF and VPF from savings point of view to be encouraged and therefore interest earned over this should not be taxed.
Certain expenses like individual training expenses, learning subscriptions of all nature etc. to come under exemption.
School fee exemption limit to be revised and be linked to the school fees actually being paid.. just like HRA.

The directive principles of Indian constitution requires state shall do every thing to prevent concentration of wealth and to ensure equitable distribution of resource and wealth to the citizen. So the present gap of 12.5 times of lowest salary staff ( ₹ 20,000) to highest slary staff 2,50,000 has to be reduced). Please take example of the SWEDEN model there is very little difference in the salary of Government University professors and Government engine drivers in SWEDEN , because skilled workers like engine drivers is appreciated and rewarded well. In spite of median salaries for University professors in Europe/ Sweden, they produce high quality research output and produced many noble prize winners. In India there is no need to prove eminence to become a professor or associate professor, so many academics are paid high salary in the government universities and several times more than skilled workers like engine drivers in railway. Skilled workers minimum wages has to increased

21) Industries should be decentralized to prevent them from accumulating in a few parts of the country and a few parts of the state

22) Solid waste and liquid waste management should be carried out very seriously

23) Action should be taken to implement such schemes as One Country One Law, One Country One Election

24) Precautionary measures should be taken now for future needs to maintain self-sufficiency so that the electricity sector is always under intense direct supervision.

25) The contracting system in government jobs should be revised and the procedures should be changed so that mistakes do not happen .

Praveen 2 weeks 18 hours ago

The directive principles of Indian constitution requires state shall do every thing to prevent concentration of wealth and to ensure equitable distribution of resource and wealth to the citizen. So the government should not go on changing the fitment factor of central government staff salary and increase the salary of high salary earners in the Government, in the hope these people will drive consumption by purchasing more cars, house etc, which is completely wrong, making a few people more wealthy by increasing their salary for no valid reasons in the hope of creating demand in the economy is poor economics. Instead of enabling concentration of wealth in a few central government employees, government should enable increase in salary of a large number of workers and staff working in SMES in the private sectors by increasing their minimum wages, so large group of people will have increased purchasing powers which will create real demand in the economy and help recovery of the economy

The investment deduction limit under section 80C should be increased for high salary income group. Salaried people are the ones who bear a major chunk of tax burden of the country as they can’t claim any kind of loss as in case of business income class. Tax planning options are limited for salaried people unlike business income group. Instead of standard deduction, non-traditional and diverse investment options should be encouraged from such class by way of deduction.

With the pandemic prevailing since past 2 years, and we moving more into digital space and aggressively promoting digitalization, I see India will heavily need mental health infrastructure as I see a lot of people suffering from brain hemorrhage, migraine, depression, and many other such mental health issue. I find this sector needs to be made more affordable for a common man as the treatment for such mental health problems is still too expensive.

Link government salary structure to minimum wages in the private sector and also wage structure for similar jobs in the private sector and farmers income. So the government officers work appropriately to increase the wages of workmen in private sector and farmers income and increase in pay hike in the government sector would be proportionate to the increase in minimum wages and farmers income. Minimum wages should be specified for all category of workmen and executive and the same should be applicable to central government staff, officers , executives , there cannot be 2 india, one where in the SME and private sectors workers, staff get paid minimum wages and another india for government staff and officers who are paid much more than minimum wages and enjoy all benefits, so even Master/ phd holders want to join in entry level positions and as peon in govt jobs and the nation could not use their services in private sector and increase productivity.Budget increase gov staff pay not good

IAS should be totally reformed. Mere passing an UPSC exam, interview and a year of training is not enough for IAS to occupy important positions in the organisations. This is also reflected in the poor decision making of even senior secretaries in the central government . E.g the COVID 19 protocols of only mandatory RTPCR testing people from high risk countires upon arrival and limiting only 2% of RTPCR testing of incoming persons from non high risk countries is a completely wrong decision which has reasons to believe has caused the spread of OMICRON in India and led to large scale restrictions in many states including closure of educational institutions. Even now the govt only classifies 19 countries as high risk countries . Which is totally wrong as people from low risk countries like Italy arriving in chartered flights were majority found to be covid positive upon testing in India. This shows poor quality of decision making which affects the economy of India and lively hoods

If salary need to be increased for central government employees it should be limited only to the lowest grade. 7th Pay commission which implemented fitment of 2.53 for people who were earning salary 1 Lakh/month increased to 2.53 lakhs/month was totally wrong. What is the need for some one to get 2.5 lakhs rupees where as the lowest grade is only 20,000/month. Most government staff included professors/associate professors etc got their salary doubled because of the fitment factor which was totally wrong and the self serving recommendations made by eminent management institutions to government should be denounced. The pay gap between the lowest and highest should be reduced. No one need 2 lakhs /month salary in govt , which is extremely on higher side and caused the tax payer huge amount , but not much for the economy as the high pay takers can take 1 or 2 cars and 1 or 2 flats, if the same 2 lakh salary was instead paid to 8 people with salary of 25000 each would buy 1 car & 1 flat And Continue to Contribute Towards Building a New India on the Move

My ideas in the budget of Modi Zee Government for 2022 ...

1) Natural way of farming should be promoted ...
2) We need to find a way to learn our laws and natural farming methods from school lessons .
3) All government affairs should be fully integrated into digital technology
4) Promote solar power applications wherever possible
5) Measures are needed to control population growth
6) The government should ensure that freebies and grants reach only those who need them
7) Taxpayers should be given priority in all government departments
8) Eliminate the darkrooms of the law and bring everyone within the tax range, including tax evaders, without paying taxes.
9) Steps should be taken to bring petrol and diesel under GST
10) Alcohol and plastic products should be completely banned across the country
11) Reforms should be made to completely change the electoral process

Booster shots for Economy/People friendly directives:
1. Reduce/Eliminate all tax on Petrol/Diesel for 1 year!
2. Tax holiday for 1 year for real estate/automobile purchases.
3. No income tax for Pensioners.

Attracting New Sources of Income/Growth Drivers:
1. Launch a single unified "India Investment" App for all NRIs/OCIs to invest in any public/private project or start-up in India. This can streamline and attract huge quantities of investment from fellow Indians looking to invest in India's growth story.
2. Legalize online betting and online Lottery. Billions are played for by Indians using offshore UK accounts already.
3. Creating an "Experience-India" chain of overseas stores, that sell 1 product from each district of India to incentivize India's export growth story and champion its indigenous products on the world stage.
4. Funding the launch of the Luxury Yacht/Shipbuilding industry and exploiting our maritime access.

India NEEDS to be the counter superpower that keeps China in check, and it can't become that alone and just with Made In India, get a group of diverse and prominent lawyers & economists who've lived basically their whole lives in India to create a fiscal commission to not only check the Budget every few times a year but also to document and keep track of the effects; to find out what exactly is required the following year, along with finishing a brilliant way to reorganize the tax structure and ease of doing business and investment in India WITHOUT COMPROMISING ON OUR PEOPLE FULLY-- yes, sometimes pain is required for healthy growth but leaving them to survive with sharks will be bad for all parties involved in the long-term. Along with this, now is a good time as any to increase funding on the health care sector-- once again getting input from experts and the less fortunate people how best you guys can help them. Just ask. People will come running to help or receive help. ATB.

Since both daughter n son are given benifit of equality

If budget of last seven years are to be looked into, it is salaried class and senior citizens who have suffered most with negligible increase in IT exemption limit, reducing interest on bank, PO deposits, dividends becoming taxable etc. It is high time that such salaried class people who have no option but to pay income tax, are given substantial benefits in forthcoming budget. Senior citizens who paid income tax throughout their working life and thought that they would pull through in twilight of their life through bank, post office deposits are finding it extremely difficult to make their ends meet. Would FM please address this long overdue anomaly?

The budget should highlight the benefits for taxpayers and non-payers, because the funds provided by tax payers are distributed among all the citizens of the country. Aadhar card should be made mandatory to get bank accounts, vehicles, property, and other essential items which will help to track the transactions of all individuals. Also the implementation of the project should be closely monitored to better the system.

Those individuals who earn an income upto ₹500000 are not required to pay any tax. However, those who earn ₹500001 are required to pay a tax. And that tax is much higher than the increase in the income over ₹500000. There is no marginal relief to these taxpayers, like the one being available for surcharge and cess. A request is that in case of any such rebate, the tax on those who cross such income limits should not be higher than the quantum of income above the limit.

  • One more humble request is to increase the basic taxation limit itself to ₹500000. It will ensure that a large number of people will get a tax relief. The additional conditions to file tax returns can be used to ensure that their tax returns are filled. Even otherwise, the wealth of information available today, as is evident from the Annual Information Statement, is sufficient enough to track and ensure people do file returns of they earn taxable income.

A rejig of the tax slabs linked to an index is required too.

Taxation of Interest and Dividends :
The idea to tax dividend in the hands of recipients is a welcome step, as it ensures that the tax incidence is linked to the earning level of each assessee.

While the idea is welcome, it is causing a large bit of procedural hassle for the payers as well as the earners.

Since interest and dividend are now taxable equally, i have a small request to restore an equivalent of the deduction under section 80L which was available erstwhile.

Section 80TTA offers deductions on saving account interest upto ₹10000 - similarly for senior citizens upto ₹50000 u/s 80TTB. I suggest that this deduction be expanded both in amount and scope to cover all types of interest and dividend upto 50000 (₹100000 if senior citizen) per assessee. This will give a huge relief in tax compliance for people who rely on investment earnings. Accordingly, the interest / dividend limit for TDS can be expanded to ₹10000 per annum. Those who earn higher amts can pay advance tax.

Subject- Increase 80C limit under IT act or bring some new avenues to save taxes for salaried class individual.

Sir, as everyone know there are very less avenues for salaried class individual to save income taxes. Already common man pay so much taxes right from road tax , toll tax, tax on every essential need too and people don't get equal amount of development..take road /toll tax as a example. So pls increase the limit for investment in 80C of IT act.

Also, as you know RBI from time to time issue gold bonds and there is already 8 year lockin in gold bonds so please consider these investment for tax saving purposes. Ultimate purpose is to put a less Burden on existing tax payers. Please focus on widening Tax Base rather than on existing tax payers.

It is humble request from many of people to take some development projects and social Security schemes for the insurance agents and their families and also for the postal agents. These agents are deprived of social Security and beneficial schemes. No social schemes are not taken for their family . Respected Hon. Minister,

I HAVE SUGGESTION FOR OUR CORONA WORRIER WELL BEING. AS WE KNOW GOVERNMENT HAVE TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF EMPLOYEES IN OUR SYSTEM i.e REGULAR & CONTRACTUAL UNDER THE NATIONAL HEALTH MISSION. ALL OUR CORONA WORRIER PUT HIS BEST TO FIGHT AGAINST PANDEMIC SITUATION. SOME OF THEM CAN'T SERVIVE.

MY SUGGESTION IS THAT REGULAR EMPLOYEES GET MOST BENEFIT & BETTER PAY SCALE AS PER 7TH CPC BUT UNDER THE NHM EMPLOYEES DOES NOT GET PAY CAMPARE TO MINIMUM PAY SCALE OF REGULAR EMPLOYEE.

E.G: A ONE CADER OF PHARMACIST,

AS PER 7TH CPC GOV. PHARMACIST GET APPROX MINIMUM PAY i.e 34000/- PM WHILE UNDER THE NHM EMPLOYEE GET ONLY 13000/- PM WITH NO ANY OTHER BENEFITS.

SO I KINDLY REQUEST YOU TO LOOK FORWAD TO OUR CORONA WORRIER COMES UNDER THE NHM POLICY & GIVE HIM APPROPRIATE SALARY SO THEY CAN LIVE A BETTER RESPECTED LIFE & WELL BEING

GST for conversion of Petrol Vehicle ( 2 or 3 Wheel) to vehicle needs to reduced to lower level from the current 28%. As these converted Electric two wheel vehicles reduce pollution, by extending life of vehicles on the road, we reduce consumption and mining of virgin raw material, help in the lively hood of poor people and will preserving jobs of mechanics are in this industry already. As these conversion almost use same components as newly made vehicle but do not enjoy subsidy under FAME II as new vehicles. These conversion truly promotes make in India

This is regarding a suggestion in tax saving option. I am from middle class company and working in IT Company.
I have my younger brother and he doing BTech and I am the person who is carrying all his expenses including college fee and other things because my father is daily wage worker and not much funds to afford study. So I am paying all tution fee for my brother and even I am paid myself for my education by selling newspaper and working in local shops.

There are people who are paying for there siblings education because their parents have not much earning to afford this and they could not exempt this education/tution fee for their sibling in ITR.

So this is my suggestion and also my humble requisition to make some policy around this in coming budget. So that we can also exempt the education/tution fee for our siblings like parents have tax exemption for their children education/tution fee.

I believe this will give more strength and keep motivate people like me.

Gst on essential food items should be abolished. On alcoholic and toxic food items ,GST should be very high as these items result in reduction of economic work force. Expenditure on education should be at par with other countries.
