ARRANGEMENTS FOR RECEIPT OF MONTHLY & QUARTERLY RETURNS FOR MONTH/QUARTER ENDING 31/12/07 AND AUDITED BALANCE SHEETS IN JANUARY, 2008 - VAT - Delhi - F.12/Operations Cell/2006/531Extract GOVERNMENT OF NATIONAL CAPITAL TERRITORY OF DELHI OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER, VALUE ADDED TAX DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND TAXES VYAPAR BHAWAN, I.P. ESTATE, NEW DELHI 110 002 (OPERATIONS BRANCH) Dated 16/01/2008 CIRCULAR SUBJECT: ARRANGEMENTS FOR RECEIPT OF MONTHLY QUARTERLY RETURNS FOR MONTH / QUARTER ENDING 31/12/07 AND AUDITED BALANCE SHEETS IN JANUARY, 2008 The Procedure for receipt and movement of quarterly and monthly returns had been framed in detail and was circulated vide Circular No. 17 dated 21.07.2005. Considering the expected volume of returns to be received for monthly and quarterly tax periods ending December, 2007 and other miscellaneous applications, following arrangements have been made to facilitate filing of returns:- 1. On 24th, 25th, 27th 28th January, 2008, the Front Office at the first floor will accept all the monthly returns. 2. The audited balance sheet of the financial year 2006-07 of the monthly return filers will also be received at the Front Office on the first floor. 3. To handle the extra work resulting from the receipt of audited balance sheets, the space presently occupied by the Centralized Form Cell (CFC) at the 1 st floor will also be utilized for receipt of monthly returns and the balance sheets of the monthly returns filers. This arrangement for CFC will only be applicable for 25th, 27th and 25th January, 2008. The officers and staff deployed at CFC will be responsible to execute this work on these three days. 4. All the quarterly returns (Refund as well as non Refund) will be accepted at the specially set up Front Office Extension Counters at the Zonal Floors on 24th, 25th, 27th 28th January, 2008. 5. The Audited balance sheets of the quarterly and other dealers will also be accepted at the Front Office Extension Counters. 6. The staff arrangement for manning the Front Office Extension Counters will be made by the respective Zonal In-Charge. 7. The office will remain open on Sunday i.e. 27-01-2008 also and the working hours of the Front Office and the Front Office Extension Counters will be as follows:- Date Working Hours 24.1.2008 (Thursday) 10 A. M. to 4 P.M. (Lunch Break 1:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.) 25.1.2008 (Friday) 10 A. M. to 1 P.M. 27.1.2008 (Sunday) 10 A. M. to 6 P.M. (Lunch Break 1:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.) 28.1.2008 (Monday) 10 A. M. to 6 P.M. (Lunch Break 1:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.) 8. Date numbering stamps for floor wise receipt will be issued to the ward incharge by the Front Office in the afternoon of 23/01/2008. These stamps shall be returned to the Front Office by closing hours on 28.01.2008 without fail. 9. The computerized receipt of the monthly as well as the quarterly returns will be issued on the same day as the date of receipt. 10. The data entry of all the quarterly returns will be done in the respective wards, for which Data Entry Operators have already been provided by the Systems Branch. 11. The following officers (in addition to the Zonal Officer concerned) will supervise the work of the Front Office the Front Office Extension Counters as follows. Name of the Officer Floor (i) Sh. B.P.
