Attention of the M/S PSA Sical Terminal Pvt. Ltd., M/S Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal (DBGT), Importers, Custodians, CHAs and the Trade is invited to the deliberations of the Customs Clearance Facilitaion Committee (CCFC) and Permanant Trade Facilitaion Committee (PPFC) meetings held on 29.2.2016 at Custom House, Tuticorin wherein the need of putting additional safety measures on import laden containers being taken out of the PSA Sical and DBGT area was discussed. 2. The members broadly agreed to the need for securing the movement of the cargo. Accordingly, it is decided to follow the following procedure as detailed below in dealing with the import laden continers in port terminals both at PSA Sical Terminal Pvt. Ltd., Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal (DBGT). 3. All the import containers would be placed with One Time Bottle seal by the Customs Officers at the terminals before permitting to move the same for CFS/ICD. The Officers are further required to enter the details of the number of the OTBL in a separate register and in the EIR copy also. However, the cost of the same should be borne by the Custodians of the CFS/ICD who are required under the Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations -2009 (HCCR) to securely transport the goods.
