Dated : 03.02.2016 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 02/2016 Sub: EU-Regulation imposing special conditions governing import of Capsicum annuum and Nutmeg into EU from India-Reg. In accordance with the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No.2016/24 of 8th January, 2016, all consignments of Capsicum annuum (Chillies and Chilly products) and Nutmeg from India to EU member countries should be accompanied by a Health Certificate from Export Inspection Council stating that the products have been sampled and analyzed for the presence of aflatoxins and have been found compliant with EU legislation. This Regulation is effective from 2nd February, 2016. The results of the analytical tests from Spices Board should be attached to the Health Certificate. Consignments which have left India for EU prior to the entry into force of this Regulation will be allowed to be imported into the EU member countries without being accompanied by a health certificate. Accordingly, the Spices Board has directed all exporters of Capsicum annuum (Chillies, chilly products) and Nutmeg excluding extracts of Chillies Nutmeg Oleoresins Oil (Extracts) to EU member countries to comply with this Regulation with effect from 2nd February 2016. Accordingly, all export consignments of capsicum annuum and nutmeg destined to EU member countries should be accompanied by Health Certificate issued by EIC/EIA and cleared analytical test reports from Spices Board.
