Incorporation of Budget related changes effective from 01.03.2016 in the ICES 1.5 System and availability of system for filing Bills of Entries- reg. - Customs - 37/2015-16Extract OFFICE OF THE PRINCIPAL COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS, (IMPORT) AIR CARGO COMPLEX, SAHAR, ANDHERI (EAST), MUMBAI-400099 F.No. EDI 37/2015-16 CC ACC Date : 02.03.2016 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 37/2015-16 Subject: Incorporation of Budget related changes effective from 01.03.2016 in the ICES 1.5 System and availability of system for filing Bills of Entries- reg. Attention of all Importers/Exporters, Customs House Agents, Trade and Stakeholders are invited to the Public Notice No.36/2015-16 dated 29.02.2016, regarding Closure of submission of Bills of Entry in ICES and stopping of Section 48 approvals on account of Union Budget, 2016-17. 2. It has been intimated by the Directorate General of Systems, New Delhi that the Budget related changes, effective from 01.03.2016 have been incorporated and the ICES 1.5 system is made available for Filing Bills of Entries. 3. It is further intimated that the system has been modified to incorporate new levy of Infrastructure Cess (under clause 159 of Finance Bill). Accordingly, all the goods falling under CTH 8703 would automatically attract 4% as duty of Excise. However, Importers eligible for exemption under Notification 001/2016 - infra cess dated 01.03.2016 may claim exemption as follows to arrive at effective rate- I. Service Center users may opt other duties as 'Y' and select 'infra cess', Notification (001/2016) and Sl. No to claim the notification. II. RES users may use the SBEDUTY table to enter Notification No, Notification SI. No, Duty type as 'E' and Addl. Duty Flag as 'I' to claim the exemption. By adopting the above procedure, all RES users may get their RES package updated. 4.
